Experience Necessary
My university capstone proved beneficial to me, providing a broad view of the work I was apparently best suited for in my creative practice. I can now say with firm conviction, that my work reflects that of a unique creative agent with unique life experiences distinguishing it from the work of other artists’ portfolios.
The narrative recounting the specific sequence of events that made me the artist I am, ran completely contrary to the norm of aspiring students in Humanities studying in an earlier era. I was, as were many of my contemporaries, formally introduced to the classical renaissance Masters… Michaelangelo, DaVinci, Monet and the like in art history. Once enrolled in the concentrated courses of commercial art and advertising design, we were encouraged to immerse ourselves in the lives and works of giants of the industry. I gravitated to the genius and acclaim of creators Saul Bass, Paul Rand, Gordon Parks, Brad Holland, Keith Haring, David Carson, Issey Miyaki, Marv Gold as well as a host of neue-progressive-avant garde-unconventional visual artists and personalities. I would be remiss to not acknowledge the impressions my professors; Britton, Schmertz, Bartko, Gormley and Stanton also left on me. And of course, there was the music… that wonderful, wonderful music of that time.
Aspiring to “be like” and produce works my influences would approve of, were they to ever see them, lead me on a self-idiographic quest to define my work. Identifying the distinct character of my client’s projects embody, “substance and significance” defines the niche sector that each entity holds. This revelation was essential to my understanding and defining my work. It is a varied and inclusive collection of work that first and foremost, responsibly strives to embrace and communicate the essence what my clients imagine.

Think of my creative as catalog of “bespoke visual art” as a well-tailored, well-fashioned garment. The examples presented are more about the overall look and feel of the end result, my clients will dress their ideas in.
The specific design brand style and visual language which has collectively emerged from my art, my clients have approved of, resonates with their brands and or projects. To this end, I'll endeavor to create handsome art always.

In psychology, idiographic describes the study of the individual, who is seen as a unique agent with a unique life history, with properties setting them apart from other individuals (see idiographic image). A common method to study these unique characteristics is an (auto)biography, i.e. a narrative that recounts the unique sequence of events that made the person who they are.
